Liyab Collective (LC) is a grassroots community organization that promotes a connected and engaged Filipino community and achieve community resiliency in Southern California’s Inland Empire region. We want to see a vibrant and connected Filipino I.E. Community by raising the collective consciousness and community organizing.
The
Breakdown
Liyab Collective was started by a group of young adults who wanted to bring the Filipino community together in the Inland Empire. Their first event was advertised through their personal accounts on Instagram. As they were growing, it was time to have it’s own platform.
I created and managed the Instagram account. My goal was to help the grassroots organization grow its community and showcase their impact and journey. This includes:
Marketing the events on their Instagram as well as other community group platforms.
Capturing photos and videos that show Liyab’s events and work.
Highlighting creatives and artists.
The Results
Instagram grew to 164 followers.
