Pilipinx in Wellness (PIW) is a global health and wellness podcast and platform that promotes health and well-being for the Pilipinx community and beyond. Through their podcast, resource sharing, and partnerships, they empower individuals to prioritize self-care, balance, and connection. PIW strives to create a culture of wellness where everyone can thrive.

The

Breakdown

Pilipinx in Wellness was a start up podcast that had a small team. As they were growing their episodes, they were missing someone to manage their social media. In order to achieve their great vision, they needed to grow their online presence. Their main goals were to increase the podcast and platform reach by growing their social media following and to market their episodes.

I came onto the team to developed different ways to elevate the platform and bring attention to their work. My aim was to increase follower count, increase engagement, and increase conversion rate from socials to their listening platforms (Youtube, Spotify, and Apple Podcasts). This includes:

  • Creating clips to promote the full episode that highlights inspiring or educational moments.

  • Capturing photos and videos that show PIW’s journey and presence in the community.

  • Develop content relating to health and wellness to bring variety in the feed.

  • Repost other health and wellness posts from others in the space to support them, helping to increase traffic, engagement, and partnerships.

The Results

  • Social platforms grew:

    • Instagram: 1.3k

    • Youtube: 205

    • Facebook: 135

  • I created a graphic wellness challenge post to increase audience engagement. This was also to add in something fun and colorful.

  • 🎉 Exciting update! Co-founder and co-host, Cheryl Samson Ramirez @angelspointyoga guest spoke at the 2024 UNAC/UHCP Convention @unacuhcp panel titled, “Advancing Health Equity”. Around 1100 delegates of healthcare union members from all across the West Coast and Hawai’i were present. Cheryl talked about Pilipinx in Wellness and how our podcast and the work we highlight can help advance health equity for all! 🪷

    Here are some words from Cheryl:
    I don’t know how we got here, but I dedicate this to those who’ve advocated before me, all of the guests we’ve had on our podcast, and our entire community of supporters. Also, to all of you, who continue to inspire and encourage us to keep doing what we’re doing. To all of our partners. This work is never done alone, it is only possible because of the partnerships we build and the communities we walk alongside in this journey for generations to come.

    We have a ways to go, but if this is a sign of what’s to come, I’d say we’re on to something. Thank you for always believing in us. Continue to take care of yourselves and each other 😘💗
